Agreed, everyone! So the advice now is: fly the 15 hours while wearing Flug's compression socks, get the reflexology done, take Bird Watcher's suggested bubble bath and then sleep for 20 hours like Artur says. Now THAT is a great way to recover from jet lag!! Thanks for the tips :)

How about wearing special compression stockings? I know they don´t look nice, but it´s better to get a deep vein thrombosis.

Chris, yeah, the SuperJumbos will be great for those who can afford first class. Private suites and all! But it'll be the same cattle corral in coach I'm sure.

Alcohol-free water, Dadgum? What's the fun in that! ;)

Good tip, Rosalind! Although you should bring those shoes with you on your next long haul flight. At least they'll fit the day after!!

Way to go, girl! I usually book in for a foot massage on the first day after a long flight. Not only is it a healing practice, but it feels darned good too!

The big point to remember though, is not to buy shoes for a couple of days, until the swelling subsides and your feet are back to their normal size.

I still look longingly at a pair of beautiful beaded slides that I bought in Singapore - now banished to the closet. They're a 9 and I wear a 7.5! :-)

Cheers,
Ros

Hey Travel Betty. Hong Kong looked pretty good to me in 1969 on an R&R from Vietnam. Curiously enough I was dehydrated too, and needed to be treated with some alcohol-free water.
