What the heck is Alltop.com and why should you care?

It’s a new website that basically functions as a simply designed RSS reader where some of the Intertubes most fascinating blogs are listed for your browsing enjoyment. They say they’ve “got all the top stories covered all the time.” And since Travel Betty is now one of their featured blogs, I’d have to say I agree with them!

You can see the last 5 post titles of each blog and a short into paragraph if you roll over them. If you want to read more, just click the link. Simple, but useful. If you’re like me and you feel like there’s lots of good info out there, but you don’t want to try too hard to find any of it, then Alltop.com is for you. And if you’d like to submit your own blog, or one of your favorites for consideration, you can find out how to do it here.

Welcome Europe A La Carte readers!

A few weeks ago, I was approached by Karen Bryan to do a guest interview on her blog, Europe Ala Carte. It strives to be “the top Europe travel blog for authentic travel on a modest budget.” Definitely a worthy subject.

It’s been a while since I’ve spent any significant time in Europe, but I’ve got an unexpected summer trip in the works. It all depends on whether or not the people of Madrid are interested to hear Travel Boyfriend talk about underground pipe safety for energy-generation facilities. Maybe I shouldn’t start packing the ol’ bags just yet!

Wowwie zowwie, this is Travel Betty’s week! Not only was I interviewed by TravelBlogs.com, but now fellow sassy travel blogger, Debo Hobo has written up a flattering post on her site, DeboHobo.com. In it she points to my interview over at TenFootSquare.com and encourages people to get to know more about me. Sheesh, my cheeks are hot to the touch from blushing so much. I sure do appreciate all the chit chat out there about Travel Betty. If it saves even ONE person from traveling as part of an all-inclusive package tour, then I can die content.

My blog buddies over at TravelBlogs.com decided they just couldn’t get enough of ol’ Travel Betty. In addition to inviting me to be a part of their community, which “features the best travel blogs” (their words), I was asked by their badass editor, Eric, to do an interview as well. Wow, what an honor! I’ve now done two interviews in as many months. First, was with Ten Foot Square. And now this one for TravelBlogs!

About two months ago, I was invited by the lovely Carter-Ann over at TenFootSquare.com to do an interview for their site. Their motto: traveling the world one square at a time! Welcome TravelBlogs.com readers! You sure look pretty/handsome today.

A few weeks ago, Travel Betty was Stumbled Upon by a very discerning young man named Eric Daams. That was great and it brought me a lot of traffic (always appreciated-hint, hint).

Then one day last week I was reading a really useful post from the ever-so-sassy Rambling Traveler about how to find good travel blogs. She mentioned a site called TravelBlogs.com, saying its purpose was to “brings the internet’s best narrative travel blogs together into one place.” Mmm, sounds juicy.

I visited the site and discovered TravelBlogs.com is edited by non-other-than the aforementioned Mr. Daams. We traded emails. He said he’d like to add me to his illustrious list of travel bloggers. And now here we are all reading this post.

Life is good. Travel on with your bad selves.
